FAQs

Where are the workshop editor tools?
All of the tools are embeded into the game. Load up Tower Unite and click on the Workshop Editor button at the top right of the menu.

What are the limits of what I can create?
Please read the Rules & Limits guide.

Can I use my own skeleton for player models?
Unfortunately, you cannot use your own skeleton. You must use the skeleton we provide. You can find a link to the rig on Creating Characters.

Can I move the bones in the skeleton?
No, you cannot. The bones will snap back into place.

What model software do you recommend?
We recommend using Blender.

My item has weird collision and I want to fix it, can I?
Not at the moment. We are working on a collision editor. For now, all models imported are convex collision that is generated.

Workshop Visibility settings
Workshop has different visibility settings that alter how players can view your addons:

  • Public: Everyone will see your model and it will be listed in the Workshop browser. Anyone can find it and use it.
  • Friends-Only: Only you and your Steam friends (and marked contributors) will be able to see, find and use your model. Everyone else will see a default model instead.
  • Hidden: Only you (and marked contributors) will see your model and it will not be listed in the Workshop browser at all. Everyone else will see a default model instead.
  • Unlisted: Everyone can see your model, but it will not be listed in the Workshop browser. Nobody can use your model unless they get a direct link to it. (Scoreboard)
Note that in-game scoreboards like in the Plaza will provide a direct link to your model, allowing it to be found and used by anyone even when unlisted.
You can mark an item as 'Hidden' by default if you do not check the 'Agree & Publish' checkbox when uploading. Use this to zero public exposure for non-public models.
